Meet Olive, she's a Christchurch city stray and she needed a home! (Update: she has been adopted!)

I had the privilege of painting her portrait in Ōtautahi for @flarestreetartfestival and getting to visit her at the Cats Protection League of Canterbury. Olive has been at the shelter a while now as she is one of the more difficult cats to find a home for. Being a stray, she needs a little extra effort to help socialize her, but trust me theres nothing more rewarding than seeing rescued animal slowly soften up to a loving home.

I'd like to dedicate this mural to the Cats Protection League, and all the charities out there helping rehome rescued animals. And ofcourse all the good people that adopt them too, especially the black cat owners who see through the superstitious 'bad luck' bulls#!t and adopt from the heart. You're all legends!

This is the 5th #straystory I've painted since being inspire by my own little strays story in Papaioea. Thanks to everyone thats followed along its been a real labour of love walking this path and I truly appreciate the support! 🙏🙏🙏
