Charlee and Ellavetta
South Sea Spray WINTON!
This mural tells the story of a local Southland girl and her Southdown ewe. Charlee Hazlett and her little sister Greer were both gifted a pet lamb each. At just 4 years old Charlee raised her sweet lamb, Ellavetta, to a prize winning ewe by 5 years old. Now at 8 she has flock of 85, she manages with her sister, and is officially registered as Hazlett Southdowns under C&G Hazlett. Not only adorable but entrepreneurial, and a proud reflection of the Southland community spirit.
Thanks to the Hazlett family for sharing this story with us, and bringing both Charlee and Ellavetta down to the wall. It was such a special experience for us and something we'll never forget! Especially walking with Elavetta down the main road of Winton to the community hall @tabhazlett
Massive thanks to @deow.1 , @laurenqyoga , @paulinekproductions and the whole @southseaspray team! You're absolute legends that do mountains of work behind the scenes to make these murals possible for us! We're so honored and deeply thankful to be part of the SSS family!
Thanks to the Winton community for supporting us wholeheartedly with every problem we came up against. I had a very tricky wall to paint but together we made it happen!
Much love to all the amazing Artists involved. I absolutely love being around you all and being inspired by your energy, art, and advice.
